Same-Sex marriage

The U.S. Navy plans to allow same-sex marriages in military based chapels. They are moving forward with this transition from the present gays and lesbians serving openly in uniform. Gays may officiate at same-sex marriages or civil unions depending on the local laws and their religious organization. Sixty three members of Congress have asked for the change to be blocked. These members feel federal property and employees should not be used to perform marriages that are no recognized by federal law. Do agree with this new plan? Why or why not?
Navy Plan

I do not agree with this new plan. I think if a person is gay and in the navy they should not tell people. The federal law does not even recognize same-sex marriages. Therefore, the people are not even really married. The Navy should not become involved with any of this. The marriages should especially not be performed at military based chapels.

Nuclear Power Plant

For the first time since the earthquake and tsunami, workers enter into a crippled nuclear power plant in Fukushima Daiichi, Japan. The workers went inside to install air ducts for ventilation systems that will filter the air. Once the radioactive contamination is reduced, workers will be able to work longer to install a cooling system. This disaster triggered one of the worst nuclear accidents. The radioactive contamination around the surrounding area affected people living 12.5 miles away.

Do the Japanese need more help with the nuclear power plants? Do you think it is dangerous what they are trying to do?
