Obama

People in the United States for quite some time have been requesting for President Obama to release his birth certificate. More attention has been brought to this due to Donald Trump. He has drawn attention to the myth that our 44th President of the U.S. was not born in America. Obama put a rest to these myths when he released his birth certificate. President Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. Obama stated he is tired of the myths and believes people need to be focusing on more important issues.

The question is do you think people in the U.S. are making too big of deal of this? Is it wrong Congress did not check Obama's real birth certificate before being elected president?

Tornadoes

In the city of Raleigh and across central North Carolina, at least 22 people were killed from the roaring tornadoes that plowed through. Also, 130 people were severely injured from the storms and hundreds of homes damaged. More than 84,000 people were left without power. The North Carolina toll would have been much higher if it wasn't for a Lowe's Home improvement store manager. The store was 40 miles southwest of Raleigh. The manager had hustled 100 customers and workers into a safer area at the rear of the store before the front cavernous of the store had collapsed.
Tornadoes
The tornadoes have created many tragedies for families. People have lost their loved ones and their homes. I think it was heroic of the Lowe's Home improvement store manager to rescue all those people. The man had the courage and quickness to act right before the tornado. It will take awhile to rebuild all the buildings and homes damaged by the tornadoes. Hopefully, people and organizations will help all those affected by the tornadoes.

Mississippi

Mississippi is being given a $16 million dollar grant from BP to help recover from economic damage. The damage is due to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. The money will help promote tourism on the Mississippi Coast. Governor, Haley Barbour, hopes the money will help recapture visitation and tourism revenues. BP is glad to be working with Haley Barbour and hopes for restoration in Mississippi.
Mississippi
I think this grant is a good idea for Mississippi. Since the economy is still not at it's best this will help tourism out. Tourism is what helps many states get a better economy. People should begin to travel more often once the economy picks up. Money needs to be given to states who have been hit the hardest. The Deepwater Horizon oil spill effected tourism in Mississippi. BP was wise to give the grant to Mississippi.

Cracks In Aircrafts

An emergency inspection has been called on Boeing aircraft series to avoid air disaster. This result was from metal fatigue and cracks in ageing planes found to be responsible for certain accidents. Undetected cracks had widened into a five-foot hole in the roof of a SouthWest Airlines flight in the U.S. The plane was forced to make an emergency landing at a military base. Today the US FAA is focused on ageing planes with more than 35,000 flight cycles to be inspected.
Aircrafts
The NCAA has been taking this very seriously, as they should be. The cracks in these planes could have been a huge problem if they would have went unnoticed any longer. Many people could have got hurt in the plane that had to take an emergency landing at a military base. I feel it is good they are inspecting all of the ageing planes that have been flown for awhile. People should consider making the planes differently, so the cracks do not occur in the future on newer planes that become old.
