Mississippi

Mississippi is being given a $16 million dollar grant from BP to help recover from economic damage. The damage is due to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. The money will help promote tourism on the Mississippi Coast. Governor, Haley Barbour, hopes the money will help recapture visitation and tourism revenues. BP is glad to be working with Haley Barbour and hopes for restoration in Mississippi.
Mississippi
I think this grant is a good idea for Mississippi. Since the economy is still not at it's best this will help tourism out. Tourism is what helps many states get a better economy. People should begin to travel more often once the economy picks up. Money needs to be given to states who have been hit the hardest. The Deepwater Horizon oil spill effected tourism in Mississippi. BP was wise to give the grant to Mississippi.
